Mixed Media Collage No. 18

Know Nothings (Insurrection Series) | 2021 | Mixed media; cut paper and oil on BFK RIVES 100% cotton paper | 22.5 x 30 inches

Completed on the eve before the Presidential Inauguration of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, this is the first in a series of collages surrounding the January 6, 2021 Insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. Although we begin a new era of leadership, America is far from united. Google the Know Nothing Party, and join me in pondering what Unity and Equality for All might look like.

Unless otherwise noted, photographs are royalty-free or part of the public domain. The following photographs used in the collage were obtained through Creative Commons and were modified for artistic purposes. Reasonable attempts were made to attribute credit. Errors or omissions will be corrected if found.
