On November 21, 2020, U.S. District Court Judge Matthew Brann threw out a case brought by the Trump Campaign for Pennsylvania to dismiss 7-million mail-in ballots. Judge Brann (a Republican appointed by President Barack Obama) wrote a scathing response, effectively ending Trump’s legal actions to continue there.
On November 24, 2020 — three weeks after Election Day — Pennsylvania certified its election results, and officially declared Joe Biden the winner, despite repeated legal maneuvers made by the Trump Campaign to suppress votes in the state.
